Buddy Smith is the founder of FCS, Incorporated. Smith founded FCS, Incorporated in 1988. He is a 1976 graduate of Averett University and holds degrees in both Business Management and Mathematics. After college, Smith entered the Kroger Company as a store manager and served in that capacity for eight years. He then took a position with Diamond Paper Company, a janitorial and paper supply company based in Danville, Virginia. Smith quickly became Diamond’s janitorial expert, servicing many major accounts throughout North and South Carolina. During that time, Smith trained housekeeping departments for major universities, hospitals, nursing homes, and industrial plants
As an expert in the field, Smith was featured in training videos produced by Johnson Diversey, the largest janitorial chemical manufacturer in the world. Smith left Diamond Paper Company in 1998 to focus on the expansion of FCS, Incorporated. Buddy retired at the end of 2015, but his mark on the business will never leave.
