FCS Awarded Major Silo Cleaning Project

FCS has been awarded a major project cleaning and sanitizing silos and food storage bins for a major food manufacturer in northern Virginia. This internationally recognized brand has recently completed a major expansion at their Virginia plant, which employees around 1,000 people. As a part of the expansion, the facility has added twenty five (25) silos and food storage bins that will store sugar, dextrose, flour, and peanuts. All of these products are used in bulk during their production process. FCS has been chosen as the vendor of choice to provide initial sanitizing of all of the silos and tanks, as well as periodic cleaning and maintenance of the structures. The cleaning will include both horizontal and vertical confined space entry, as well as rope repelling in order to access all areas. Because of the safety aspect, very few companies are capable of providing these services. We are proud and excited to have the opportunity to work with yet another leader in the food industry.
